Le Saint Nicolas, Gourmet Restaurant in Megève
An intimate, characterful place
A flight of stairs leads to this gourmet restaurant in Megève. With its vaulted dining room decked out in wood and local stone, and its paintings of mountain scenes, Le Saint Nicolas is almost kept hidden, like a precious secret. The only ambition here is to offer delight, with a warm, elegant atmosphere and a fine culinary art built on the excellence of French produce. The open kitchen contributes to the visual experience, and just the sight of Chef Marvin Lance’s dexterity and concentration is an appetizer in itself.

Culinary discoveries and gourmet emotions
In the dining room, the attentive team combines courtesy, friendliness and elegance, setting the tone for the tastings. Serving guests with care, attention and discretion, the restaurant Le Saint-Nicolas in Megève offers extraordinary dishes dreamt up by Marvin Lance.
A Breton by adoption, this young chef has already worked at some prestigious establishments, such as the Four Seasons in Megève, alongside the chef Julien Gatillon, holder of two Michelin stars, who learned his trade with highly renowned chefs. At Le Saint Nicolas, he has crafted a vibrant gourmet offering that combines produce from the land and sea.
Delectable fish and shellfish from Britanny, fresh vegetables from the market gardens of Demi-Quartier, cheeses from the mountain pastures, and the mountain herbs of Haute-Savoie come together here in the Chef’s bold, refined culinary creations.
An ode to the terroir of Savoy
Passionate men and women, artisans of flavour, market gardeners, winegrowers, cheesemakers, meat producers and even ceramicists, cutlers and granite cutters, help give free expression to the Chef’s creativity. With salt meat from Maison Baud, snails from Philippe Héritier of Le Domaine des Orchis and more, the menu brings together the finest that the terroir has to offer.
As for the cheese trolley, it is a splendid parade of the best farmers have to offer from raw milk. Blue cheeses to die for, gems from the mountain pastures, traditional cheeses that have survived over the years and are sometimes now only made by a single producer, and a wide selection of PDO and PGI cheeses from Savoy: at Au Coin du Feu’s restaurant, cheese is sacred.
The wine menu
The wine menu of our gourmet restaurant in Megève is varied, reflecting a quest for emotions. You will find beautiful labels, personal favourites, artisan wines and little-known gems, of all colours, with a natural focus on the region of Savoy, including finely crafted wines embodying the revival of local winemaking, excellent Mondeuse wines and elegant Apremont wines from Domaine Masson. The selection also steps outside of the region to explore other lands, such as the Rhône Valley and Burgundy, where passion and know-how come together to create beautiful wines. There is a single guiding principle: to create natural pairings with the Chef’s cuisine, which is also a journey for the senses.
The bar
In the lobby, the charming old bar in the typical style of Le Même is the perfect place to unwind and refresh throughout the day. With its wood panelling and Savoy-style sculpted hearts, its enamelled plaques, its wall of bottles and its inviting bar stools, it has all the ingredients for an epicurean break from morning to evening.
With hot drinks to warm up before venturing out into the snow, vitamin-packed fruit juices, signature cocktails and wines of all colours, aperitifs and liqueurs to keep the evening going, the bar at Au Coin du Feu is a gathering place at all times of day. What’s more, it has a selection of gourmet snacks to share pleasant moments with friends or for a quick bite to eat. Whether alone, as a couple or as a family, to watch time go by or create memories to savour, the bar is the convivial gathering place for stays at Au Coin du Feu.
